Vestibular and cochlear endolymphatic hydrops in Meniere's disease (MD) patients was visualized using MR imaging. The degree of hydrops in MD patients correlates with various clinical characteristics, impacting audiovestibular function and influencing anxiety and depression levels.
MRI scans, following bilateral intratympanic gadolinium administration, were performed on 70 patients with a diagnosis of unilateral Meniere's disease, either definite or probable. A contagious viral disease, Peste des petits ruminants (PPR), inflicts widespread economic losses on animal production sectors in endemic nations, such as Egypt. The occurrence of PPR coinfections is linked to small ruminant retroviruses, particularly enzootic nasal tumor virus (ENTV) and Jaagsiekte sheep retrovirus (JSRV). The five PPR amplicons' sequencing results showed 100% amino acid identity among all strains, conclusively placing them in lineage IV.
